How Does This Program Work?

Who is eligible?

Everyone! Rebate levels vary based on if your income level is above or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI) and anticipated energy savings.

What is offered?

Free energy assessment + up to $16,000 performance-based rebates on energy efficiency upgrades recommended in your assessment, which may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Attic & wall insulation
  • Air sealing
  • Air source heat pumps
  • High-efficiency furnaces & boilers
  • Heat pump water heaters

What forms are necessary?

  1. Proof of homeownership
  2. Proof of owner occupancy (only if the applicant is not listed on the ownership document)
  3. Proof of income (required only if household income is below 80% AMI)
  4. Recent utility bills

HOMES Program: Step-By-Step

Complete Program Application

 

 

Submit your application with basic household and income information plus utility usage information.

 

 

Schedule and Complete Assessment

 

 

Once your application is approved, you will receive a link to schedule your free home energy assessment. The assessment identifies opportunities for energy savings throughout your home and determines the level of rebates available to you.

 

 

Approve Scope of Work and Price Quote

 

 

Review your personalized plan and rebate estimate. The Program will help you obtain bids, choose an Authorized Contractor, and approve upgrades that save the most energy and money.

 

 

Schedule and Complete Improvements

 

 

Authorized Contractors complete your approved energy improvements. All work is inspected to ensure quality and performance standards are met.

 

 

Receive Pearl Home Certification

 

 

Get a detailed report highlighting your energy-efficient upgrades and the added performance value they bring to your home.

 

 

Complete Customer Satisfaction Survey

How Do I Know If I Qualify?

The HOMES program is for everyone! 

The amount of your rebate is dependent on your household income and projected energy savings.

 
Everyone is eligible regardless of income, however rebate levels vary.
Households below 80% of AMI are eligible for up to $16,000 in rebates. Households above 80% of AMI are eligible for up to $4,000 in rebates.
